| Aanval loading stalls or fails to complete If the Aanval console fails to load or stalls while loading, the following may help. Refresh the browser Restart the browser Clear the browser cache Installation window does not appear If upon initial loading of the Aanval console during installation, you do not see the license agreement or main installation display, the following may assist you. Refresh the browser Restart the browser Clear browser cache Alternatively, you may try untar'ing the Aanval package again to ensure there was not any problems during this part of the setup process. Keywords: blank screen, white screen, empty screen, no screen, does not appear BPU Fatal Error (command not found) If you receive a fatal error when starting the background processors, this is due to the BPU's not being able to find the PHP or PERL binaries in the local path. The BPU's require that both the "php" and "perl" commands be available to execute correctly. Either place the php and perl binaries in a location within the current PATH, or add their locations to the current PATH. Reports empty or incomplete If you are experiencing reports in Aanval 4 or 5 that appear to be broken, fail, empty of have sections of incomplete data, please read on. Your MySQL configuration file "my.cnf" may need to have the "max_allowed_packet" setting increased in size. This setting may be at 1M, 2M, 4M or 8M by default and should be increased to a size of 16M or 32M to accommodate for the lengthy queries that are being performed by Aanval. The line when finished should appear as follows: max_allowed_packet = 16M Note: This value may be as high as 1G, please use your best judgement and / or see the MySQL website for more information.
