| Do Aanval licenses expire? Aanval licenses do not expire and a user may continue to use and operate with any commercial license for as long as necessary with the appropriate major release the license was provided for. All Aanval licenses are intended to work with their respective major versions unless otherwise specified. Example An Aanval 3 license will work with all version of Aanval 3 including 3.1, 3.2, 3.3 but not 4.x An Aanval 5 license will work with all version of Aanval 5 including 5.1, 5.2, 5.3, etc Exception Aanval 4 and Aanval 5 licenses areļ¾ interchangeableļ¾ and may work with either version of the console. Can Aanval licenses be combined? All Aanval licenses were engineered to be combined with one another to provide any combination of required snort and syslog sensor functionality. Example An infrastructure with 10 syslog devices and 5 snort sensors may purchase either of the following combinations of licenses to provide the required Aanval functionality: x5 : Snort & Syslog Combination License x5 : Syslog Only License OR x10 : Syslog Only License x5 : Snort Only License If you are unsure of which licenses are required to meet your deployment needs, please feel free to contact us for assistance. Do Aanval licenses remove nag screens? Yes, most definitely. Commercial licenses remove all limitations, warnings and nag displays from Aanval. Are trial licenses available? The answer to this question is conveniently yes and no. By default without any commercial licenses installed, Aanval is in a free limited mode, which allows for the use of a single snort and syslog sensor for an unlimited period of time. Users should be able to fully test and become comfortable with Aanval in this limited mode prior to purchase commercial licenses. Unfortunately, we do not provide temporary or trial licenses in addition to this free limited feature of the console.
