What is liveSnort?

liveSnort is FREE, and one of many contributions to the Snort community by Aanval and Tactical FLEX.

liveSnort is an extremely basic, yet useful live Snort monitoring web-application that takes advantage of AJAX / Web 2.0 technology to make the task of monitoring and viewing the most recent Snort events easier.

Installation Instructions

1) Download (link below) to a location accessible via a web browser on your server.

2) Uncompress the download with the command 'tar -zxvf liveSnort-stable.tar.gz'

3) Edit the top few lines of the file liveSnort.php for your snort database settings.

4) Visit liveSnort.php in a web-browser.

5) Enjoy.
